I LOVED these stories about the Shareem. The Shareem were made to be all things to all women, to live to please, and to have no emotions, but the scientists that created them failed on that part. The Shareem come in three levels: pure sensuality, fun and games, and the ultimate experience. What I liked about the characters was that the men were HOT, sexy, loving and totally protective of their women. The women were beautiful and intelligent but not physically perfect according to our society’s standards. They were zaftig. Also I liked that the author didn’t use clinical and "clean" words to describe the sex scenes. Because I had read the books back to back the amount of sex became overwhelming. Who would have thought? The only thing I would change about the books is that they would be longer. I loved being in the world Ms. Ashley has created for the Shareem. You can feel the hot, dusty climate and taste the grit of the sandstorms. You can envision the people in their robes moving through the open air markets. You could sense the tranquility inside the homes of the rich as they are sheltered in rooms of cool moist air. The stories are told in alternating POV’s of the H/h and have just the right mix of angst, lust, love and humor. Each story has its own HEA within the overall arc of the series. Love this author! I love these books so much that I had to buy them all! Steamy scenes but still very good character buildup. Perfect.
I LOVE the Tales of the Shareem. This is the second bundle and the stories are just as good as the first. I did forget to mention in my previous review that these stories really should be read in order. There are a lot of references back to characters and events in the previous books. I'm not a spoiler person, so I won't do the synopsis thing. Just suffice it to say that I am a huge SIFY buff and these books all suit me quite nicely. They may be a little warmer than I would ordinarily read, but that's how the story goes. I am really hoping for more.
erotic romance about men who were manufactured for women's pleasure. The men have almost no rights and are treated badly by most. Women are in charge. Sexual pleasure is now highly frowned upon, so the shareem are 3rd class citizens who are forbidden to leave. In each vol a woman with wealth & power falls in love w/a shareem, thereby starting all kinds of fireworks both in & out of bed. I bought the series, read it a couple of times, and figured I'd not look @ it again, so deleted it from my kindle--only to buy it again a year or so later. 1 of few series I consider worth 5* rating.
These stories are all interrelated so it is nice to be able to buy the bundles and read them together and in order. They are nice stories of love and finding love and acceptance. Difficult to read of the treatment of people as second class citizens, but humanity has done a lot of that (still is, in fact). There is a LOT of sex so don't buy these if you are uncomfortable with that! I enjoyed the sets.
